Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya brought his major journey for the year 2016 to a close in the Volta Region where he was joined by the three Apostles taking care of the Region. His scheduled included the divine service for Ministers and their families for the three Apostle areas, a carol night and a festive divine service on Sunday 18th December 2016.

The divine service for Ministers and their families was the twelve and last of such services held in almost all the Apostle areas throughout the country. The basis of the divine service was taken from 1 Corinthians 16:19, “The Churches of Asia salute you. Acquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord with the church that is in their house.” The Apostle reminded the Ministers and their families of the words of Joshua, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

The carol night was held at the Teachers Hall at Ho to usher inn Christmas. Well known Christmas carols and traditionally composed songs relating to the birth of Jesus Christ were sung to the enjoyment of all.

Sunday 18th December 2016 was the fourth Advent. During the divine service the Apostle blessed the 25th marriage celebration of Apostle Akubia and District Elder Akubia and their wives. The text word was from John 12:13, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!, the King of Israel.” extract

Seven hundred and forty two brothers and sisters attended the divine service. Also invited was Apostle Afutu Kotei from the Accra Apostle Area.
