Lead Apostle and Apostles exchange pleasantries upon arrival at Dzolo
13 August 2023

On Sunday, 30th July 2023, Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo conducted two Divine Services in the Volta Central Apostle Area; at Ho Central (Ho District) and Dzolo Gbogame (Dzolo District) congregations. The service in Ho also served as the memorial and thanksgiving service for our late brother, Victor Lawson Kosi Asase, a retired Administrator of the Church in Lomé (Togo) under the then Canadian District. He was buried the previous day.  At Dzolo Gbogame, the Lead Apostle was full of appreciation for the Parku family who have refurbished the chapel of the congregation.

The Lead Apostle was accompanied by Apostles Osei and Kuada and some District ministers.

The Lead Apostle read a bible word from Luke 15:8-9; “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying “Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!”

The Lead Apostle’s message emphasized the purpose of our calling as, “to be prepared to share in the fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ and His Father”. Thus, any effort directed at any goal apart from these will lead to destruction.

God seeks man
The Apostle stated that, God is interested in every soul. He goes after each soul in an attempt to offer them salvation. Every soul is precious in His sight. He still have an open door to repentance for every sinner and rejoices over every soul who turns to Him. The Lead Apostle called on members to, like the prodigal son, return to the Lord while there is still time.

Search carefully until you find
Lead Apostle entreated members to search earnestly for the divine treasures which are lost to mankind. This, he said, include the truth (the Word), forgiveness of sin, fellowship with Christ and all that is necessary to attain salvation. He encouraged members to seek God and His treasures diligently. Having found them, invite others to come share in the goodness of the Lord. He further admonished members to continually search their hearts and go after any divine gift or pearl that seems to be missing until they are found.

Invitation through proper conduct
To ensure our neighbours accept our invitation to come share in the divine promise, our conducts must radiate love. By this the Lead Apostle said, it would be quite easier for them to willingly celebrate with us, our joy of salvation and also partake therein. He exhorted members to at all times be mindful of their conduct in society, family circles and in their social endeavors so as to attract souls to God.

Special Appreciation at Dzolo Gbogame
The Dzolo Gbogame chapel underwent recent refurbishment, the cost of which was borne by the family of the late Apostle Kwesi Parku. On the occasion of his visit, the Lead Apostle seized the opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to the Parku family for their kind gesture towards the maintenance of the Church. He asked for God’s blessing upon the family and encouraged members to ensure the continuous maintenance of the building.
