As part of their annual youth camp, the Nkoranza district of the New Apostolic Church within the Techiman Apostle Area climaxed their 2023 Youth Camp in a special divine service with Apostle Paul Yaw Kyeremeh on Sunday 22nd October, 2023.
The text word for the service was taken from Mathew 5: 13, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It's no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled on by men.”
Following Christ with a child-like heart
The Apostle began his sermon to the youth by encouraging them to follow Jesus like a child. He said: “Before we were brought forth by our parents, the Lord already knew us. And to enter the Kingdom of God, we must behave like a child. We must be humble, respectful and obedient.”
Show your godly qualities
He advised the youth: “We know the value of salt, some foods are not tasty but with salt, they become tasty and pleasant for consumption. Live an exemplary life void of wrongdoing, lead a chaste and decent life so that you will shine where ever you are found; either in your homes, schools, churches, community and the nation at large.”
Live worthy of God’s approval
“There are some parents who wish they never returned to their ungodly lifestyle and behaviour. As a youth if our lifestyle is not worthy of God’s will, we will be cast away” he advised. “However, as we live here on earth, let us lead a life that our parents and community can testify to what we have learnt from this youth camp. Let us show the positive impact of this youth camp in our lives.”
The Techiman Apostle concluded: “Let us go and do the work of God, let us spread the gospel of God and advocate repentance from our ungodly ways. Let us advocate the goodness of the scriptures for the Kingdom of God is at hands.”
