The Dunkwa Apostle Area in Ghana was blessed with a visit from Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo, who conducted two separate divine services with members of Asankragua and Dunkwa Districts on October 21 and 22, 2023 respectively.
The Lead Apostle shared the good news of Jesus Christ and the power of faith, using John 5:39 as the text word. He also explained how to apply this verse to one’s life and how to share it with others. The church services were filled with joy, praise, and worship, as altogether, over 500 members attended both services.
The services were supported by Apostle Isaac Mensah, District Rectors Anane Adjei, Clement Essem and Kingsford Ansah.
“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me.” John 5: 39.
“This verse is part of a conversation between Jesus and the Jewish religious leaders. Jesus is explaining to them that they diligently study the Scriptures, believing that by doing so, they will find eternal life or salvation. However, Jesus tells them that the Scriptures themselves bear witness of Him”, he said. He emphasized that the purpose of the Scriptures is to point to Him as the source of eternal life. By saying this, Jesus challenges the religious leaders to have a more profound understanding of the Scripture, to recognize Him as the Messiah, and also recognize that the prophecies and promises do find their fulfilment in Him.
“Today, this verse reminds all of us that the scriptures are not merely a collection of historical events or accounts and moral teachings, but are a testimony to the person of Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers. May we move beyond the superficial understanding of the Scriptures and embrace the truth that they bear witness about Jesus. Let us seek Him diligently, knowing that in Him, we find eternal life”, the Lead Apostle espoused.
In His concluding remarks, he expressed his profound joy for the heartwarming reception he received from members.
