On Sunday 24 December 2023, the members of Accra East District after their festive divine service came together under canopies and round tables to have fellowship with each other and ministers outside the East-Legon church building. This was a gesture to say ‘Thank You’ to the Lord God Almighty for His protection and blessings, and also to members of the district church for their labours of love and being pioneers in the Lord’s House throughout the year 2023.
Beginning the program with a welcome address after the opening prayer, the Deputy District Rector De-Heer (Accra East District) stressed that “It is necessary for God’s children to come together and strengthen their relationships to share the love of Christ and enjoy each other so much that we care enough to live an ordinary life with ourselves through face-face conversations.”
Members gathered took turns to interact, dine and share smiles with each other for few hours. The Church groups were also not left out as both the various congregational choirs and Sunday Schools entertained everyone with songs, recitals and dance routines.
These memories created formed the foundations of understanding of the way fellowship exists in the local churches.
