On Saturday, December 16, 2023, Apostle Charles Addo Asare (Accra Working Area), accompanied by District Rector Richard Aikins (Kwanyarko District) and other Priestly ministers as well as retired, District Rector Godwin Agbozo (Asempanyin District) visited the Asarekwa Congregation in the Kwanyarko District.
The congregation, especially the youth, were enthusiastic about the visitation of the Apostle and his entourage. Apostle Asare leading the ministerial body engaged all gathered in teachings on selected topics such as the Vision and Mission statements of the New Apostolic Church, the Church of Christ and Time Management.
There was also open forum, which gave members the opportunity to ask questions about the Church’s doctrine and practice.
The next day, Sunday December 17, 2023, Apostle Charles Addo Asare conducted a divine service at the Mankron Junction Congregation, also within the same district.
The Bible word used for the divine service was taken from Luke 19:10, which reads; “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
In his message, the Apostle expressed his joy to serve the congregation and added:
- God’s original intention for the creation of man, was for God Himself to have an eternal fellowship with man. But was marred by sin which led to the fall of man and his separation from God. The Apostle further stated that, everyone needs to be saved which cannot be attained by human efforts but rather through the free gift of Salvation offered by God through Jesus Christ.
- Today, we as followers of Christ, being led by the Holy Spirit must repent, renounce our sins and follow the instructions of the Lord which is regarded as an act of love and devotion to God and not because of the fear of punishment.
- And, salvation is freely available and accessible to everyone. Everyone must show love to their neighbour as a demonstration of the God’s love and salvation for mankind.
During the divine service, Kwanyarko district received the first female ministerial gifts when Apostle Charles Addo Asare conferred the Deacon ministerial authority and mandate on four sisters namely Esther, Dorothy, Theresa and Abigail to help with God’s work. This was a highlight for the newly ordained deaconesses, with their families and the Kwanyarko district, as they had been waiting long for this special moment after weeks of seminary training. After the service, the Apostle took time to share in fellowship with 221 members in attendance.
