After the festive Easter Divine Service at the Accra Central Church, NAC Ghana managed to seek audience with Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo and Apostle Charles Asare to share their thoughts on the occasion.
NAC Reporter: Happy Easter, Lead Apostle! In your words, what's Easter to the New Apostolic Christians?
Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo: Firstly, Easter brought salvation for us all. The Gospel and the Sacraments were left for us to continue after Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension through the Apostles. The occasion also marks the foundation and power for our hope for eternal life expressed in Christ's resurrection.
NAC Reporter: As the Lead Apostle for Ghana, what is your Easter message to all members in Ghana?
Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo: Let's be steadfast in our faith. Because without this Christ-like faith, we will be miserable. Moreover, let's incorporate the essence of Christ's death and resurrection into our everyday life.
NAC Reporter: What should we as members expect for the year?
Lead Apostle Ohene-Saffo: Let's expect the blessings of the Lord God extended to us, Ghana, as a country, with the visit of our Chief Apostle, all District Apostles, District Apostle Helpers, Apostles and other dignitaries. And as a church in Ghana, preparations have long began for their arrival and stay with us.
The Accra Working Area Apostle also shared his thoughts on the importance of Easter?
Apostle Charles Asare: For me, the resurrection of Christ signifying and the power of God over death.
NAC Reporter: What's your message to members from the Accra Apostle Working Area?
Apostle Charles Asare: Well, we have been resurrected with Jesus Christ. Therefore, let’s set our hearts towards our heavenly abode and not earth. In so doing, we would also be glorified with Christ on His return.
NAC Reporter: Apostle, I have heard you have a soft spot and biased towards the Youth in Church. What would be your message to them?
Apostle Charles Asare: Hahaha... (Apostle laughing). I love every group and do not have a favourite. But my focus, periodically, is on the youth, since they're the future and bedrock of the Church. I always urge them (the Youth) to walk in the steps of Christ, and His Apostles, and be evangelists of the Bible and ignore all false teachings. In that way, they would become good ambassadors of Christ and role models for the younger groups in their adult years, in the Accra Working Area.
