On Mother’s Day, 2024, the Madina Congregation organized a special divine service with all the women in the congregation.
The text word for the divine service was taken from Philippians 2:9-10 ‘Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.’
The Congregational Rector, Shepherd Jones Kyere appreciated the immense role and support of the women, and rest congregants, in the congregation from the beginning of the year till date.
Shepherd Kyere admonished that the women and the congregants must remain humble and obedient as Christ was, and continue to serve the Lord by helping the ministers and the Church to grow. He also urged members to be an example of Christ in their homes, work places and where ever they may find themselves. For this, they will be exalted as Christ was.
The Madina women showed up in their beautiful outfit and were led by Sister Elizabeth Akomaning, the women’s choir mistress, to sing beautiful renditions in praises to God and to the joy of the congregants, included a song composed by Sister Seraphine Dueduwa.
The 2024 Madina confirmands were also honoured for going through the two-year confirmation class successfully and also receiving their confirmation blessing by the Apostle Charles Addo Asare.
The divine service was supported by Community Evangelist Prosper Agbozo (Adenta Rector) and Priest Solomon Quaye (Madina Youth Priest).
After the special divine service, the congregation enjoyed a joyous fellowship with all women and 2024 confirmands.
