18 December 2024

On Saturday, 16th November, 2024, the women’s group within Techiman Apostle area gathered at Abease, a town in the Pru West district, to celebrate their women’s day.

During the early hours of Saturday, the women were led through a morning devotion led by District Rectors Daniel Brobbey and Amoako David. The special fellowship was based on Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

After the morning devotion, there was a float through the principal street of Abease. Thereafter, there was a courtesy call on the Paramount chief of Abease, Obrempong Kru Takyi II. The chief welcomed the group and thanked them for the visit. He also advised members to be of good behaviour, lead exemplary lives, and maintain peace, before, during and after the upcoming elections.

In the afternoon, there was a talk on Teenage Pregnancy – the contributory factors, effects and prevention. Parents were advised to train their children in God’s way, and promote godliness in children.

In the evening, members were grouped to learn, discuss and understand the church’s doctrine.
