The Wiawso Apostle Area Youth Convention concluded with a festive divine service led by Apostle Augustus Adika-Lavoe on Thanksgiving Day.
In his opening remarks, the Apostle expressed heartfelt gratitude to the congregation—especially the youth—for their active participation throughout the convention. He also prayed for God’s guidance and protection as members returned to their respective congregations.
The service was based on the textword, Psalm 100:4–5: “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
The Apostle’s message was highlighted as follows:
- God’s love is everlasting – We are called to reflect His love by caring for our neighbours.
- True faith is shown through love – “Anyone who loves God but hates their neighbour is a liar,” the Apostle emphasized.
- Christ’s sacrifice is the ultimate expression of divine affection – Because He died for our sins, we must continually thank and praise Him.
- Thanksgiving and praise are essential – The Apostle encouraged all to bring their burdens before God and enter His house with gratitude.
Concluding the service, the Apostle blessed the youth: “May the Good Lord shower His blessings upon you, let His light shine on you, and be your guide in all you do.”
