4 November 2025

On 18th October 2025, the Madina New Apostolic Church Choir — a harmonious blend of youthful energy and seasoned voices — graced East Legon with a soul-stirring musical evening. The event, titled “Count Your Blessings Choral Concert 2025”, was themed “Unity in Gratitude” following their Thanksgiving offerings. The concert brought together congregants, guests, and dignitaries in a celebration of faith, music, and fellowship.

The choir’s vibrant and beautifully designed attire added a visual delight to the evening, complementing the rich musical experience. The programme commenced with an opening prayer by Apostle Charles Addo Asare, setting a reverent tone for the night.

Shepherd Jones Kyere, Rector of the Madina congregation, welcomed attendees with a heartfelt address. The choir, under the direction of Priest Kofi Gyima Brempong, delivered a captivating performance featuring a variety of choral pieces and medleys. Highlights included “Your Grace and Mercy” by Newlove Kodwo Annan, “Wandering Afar”, and “Migli” by Ken Kafui, among others.

A touching poetry recital by Sister Edinam added depth to the evening’s programme, reflecting the theme of gratitude and unity.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Apostle Kotei Afutu (Retired), Bishop Ampadu (Retired), District Elder Kyere (Retired), and District Rector Arhin (Accra West), among others. In a special moment of recognition, choristers who have served faithfully for 30 to 40 years were honoured with beautifully crafted citations.

In his closing remarks, Apostle Asare expressed profound joy and appreciation for the event, stating:

“Music imparts courage, strength, and confidence; it uplifts the spirit and provides comfort.”

He commended the organisers for their dedication and effort in putting together such a memorable evening. The programme concluded with a closing prayer by District Rector Arhin, sealing the night with blessings and unity.
