District Apostle Michael Ehrich at the altar
10 April 2026

On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, District Apostle Michael Ehrich, District Leader of the New Apostolic Church Southern Germany, conducted his final Easter Divine Service in the New Apostolic congregation of Kempten‑South. The service was shared with numerous congregations across Southern Germany and broadcast throughout his district working area, which spans about 30 countries in Eastern Europe, the Persian Gulf, and Africa, including Ghana.

The message for the day was based on Mark 16:15: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

In his sermon, District Apostle Ehrich emphasized that Easter is not merely a remembrance of past events, but a living reality meant to be experienced in the lives of believers today. He described Easter as a time to renew joy and strengthen faith, highlighting that Good Friday and Easter are inseparable — one finds its true meaning only in the other. Through Jesus Christ’s resurrection, His victory over death was made evident, witnessed by hundreds of people, confirming the reality of this divine event.

He encouraged the congregation to trust firmly in the Holy Spirit and to remain steadfast in faith, even when belief is not supported by physical sight. Sharing a personal experience from a visit to Israel with Apostle Martin, he reflected: “Although we did not see Jesus physically, our faith was strengthened. We trusted God’s promise to be present wherever two or three are gathered in His name.”
This trust, he explained, enables believers to remain confident, joyful, and focused on the promised return of Christ.

In concluding his message, District Apostle Ehrich reminded the congregation that a divine service is more than a Christian tradition—it is a profound and living fellowship with Jesus Christ. He encouraged members to hear, keep, and live by the Word of God, to share the Gospel with all people in love and without compulsion, and above all, to keep Jesus Christ at the centre of their lives.

The District Apostle was supported at the altar by District Apostle Helper Martin Rheinberger, Bishop Paul Hepp (Apostle District Munich) and Apostle Volker Keck (Apostle District Ulm).
