For a week or more, the Sunyani Apostle Area youth began earnest preparations for what will be a very inspiring and exciting celebration. Indeed, it was under the supervision of Apostle Moses Otchere Ayarkwa. The 2019 annual youth camp celebration, which begun on 29th August and ended on the 1st September was held on the campus of Dormaa Senior High School, in a placid environment with rolling green spaces and tree-lined streets.

Arrival and check-in
Waking up a chilly morning on August 29th. The only warmth came from the shared excitement of anticipating the arrival of all the campers from the 10 districts in the Apostle Area. Truly, approximately 350 youth, together with their district leaders, arrived from their respective districts of which registration and allocation of rooms was done accordingly.

Opening Ceremony
The welcome address and orientation was delivered by District Elder Alex Frimpong (Dormaa Ahenkro district). He focused on the theme “Now that I am a child of God”. Prominence was placed on the importance of learning and living the vital Christian lessons of the theme through each event.
