On 1st September 2019, Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya conducted a divine service at Sefwi Asawinso to climax this year’s edition of the Wiawso Apostle Area Annual Youth Camp.

The text word for the service was taken from Galatians 5:13-14, ‘for you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘you shall love your neighbour as yourself.’

Commencing his sermon, he said, “You are all precious gifts from our Father in heaven to your parents. Your parents have sacrificed a lot to bring you this far, therefore, you must give them the maximum respect they need so that our Father in heaven will shower His blessings on you”.

In explaining the text word he continued, “We were all slaves in the hand of the devil, but due to the love our Father in heaven, He has given us liberty which makes us royals in heaven. Through this liberty, we must love one another.” He added, “Brethren, people you see today as your Apostles, Elders, Shepherds, Priests and Deacons were all sinners; but due to the liberty given to them by our Father in heaven, they are now good Christians, and people you respect as your church leaders.’

Bringing the sermon to a close, he said, “I tell you, do not let the liberty you have lead you to hell, but rather lead you to our Father in heaven. Youth today have high affinity to earthly things, but I tell you all these things are seasonal and shall come to pass but the word of God is eternal and never fades.” He therefore advised the youth to stay glued to the church and be abreast with the church doctrine. “May God shower His blessings on you till we meet again” said the Lead Apostle as he brought his sermon to a close.

The divine service was supported by Apostle Edward Hayford Nzimah (Wiawso Apostle Area), District Elders Emmanuel Adomako (Bremang District), John Armah Welington (Bodi District), Stephen Anim (Asawinso District) as well as District Evangelist Clement Gyebi (Domeabra District). About 350 participants attended the divine service.
